"WE WILL NOT HIDE THEM FROM THEIR CHILDREN, BUT TELL TO THE COMING GENERATION THE GLORIOUS DEEDS OF THE LORD, AND HIS MIGHT, AND THE WONDERS HE HAS DONE." - Psalm 78:4

Ministry Overview

As a children’s ministry, our mission is to teach, guide, and shape hearts according to the truth of Scripture. We seek to introduce children to the God revealed in His Word, so that each one may develop a solid faith and a genuine love for Christ. Our highest priority is always the Word of God, and as our main tool, we use the Generations of Grace Curriculum, which is Bible‑based and God‑centered.

We have a nursery available for families with infants and toddlers. Currently, most families choose to keep their little ones with them during the entire service, but the nursery can be opened upon request. Please speak with an usher or greeter if you'd like to use this space.

Sunday School (ages 4 through 10)

Children's Check-In

Each classroom is designed to welcome children into a safe, orderly, and caring environment. If you are visiting, a team member will be at the classroom entrance to answer any questions and help you register and check in your child for class.

Children in Sunday School (ages 4–10) begin in the main service and join us in worship. After singing with the congregation, they are dismissed to their class. Our teachers are trained and committed to teaching with love, dedication, and care, supporting each child’s spiritual and personal growth.

Biblical Parenting

At Vida, we joyfully celebrate parents of newborns who commit to raising their children in the ways of the Lord. During certain worship services, in a segment called “Celebrating the Works of God,” parents are welcomed to the stage to publicly affirm their commitment to raising their children according to Scripture. Then the pastor leads a pastoral prayer for the children and their families.

We do not teach that this celebration is salvific or that the child becomes a Christian through it. Rather, we pray that parents take this dedication seriously, seeking to live godly lives before their children and to raise them in the faith so that, in God’s time, they may come to follow Christ personally.

It is important for us to know the families presenting their children. For this reason, we offer a brief class to teach what Scripture says about raising children in the Lord. After completing this class, parents may present their child during a designated service.

Volunteering

The Vida Kids ministry is always happy to welcome new volunteers who have a heart to serve, and invest in the lives of children. If you are interested in helping, we would love to hear from you.
